The Holmes Office is a collection of my thoughts. I may enthuse about jQuery, rant about DotNetNuke and muse about the Formula One.
I’ve been building websites since the late 1990′s. My first website started life as a University project which I subsequently sold on. I haven’t looked back.
I like the industry as the landscape is constantly changing. You have to continually re-evaluate your position and keep an eye on the new & emerging technologies, trying to spot the potential value and trends. I would say “never a dull moment” but anyone who has ever spent an hour trying to debug hundreds of lines of JavaScript code only to discover the issue was a misplaced comma will know that this is blatantly untrue.
I spent many years working as a developer forĀ Design Motive Ltd in London, am currently an engineer at LivePerson in Reading, and am spending my spare time getting to grips with Node.js.
